Interface Definition
Overview
An interface is commonly defined as a place or boundary between two systems, services, applications, or components communicate or where data or information is exchanged. The Interface Definition Pillar's primary scope is to define interfaces that enable programmatic access to capabilities and facilitate information flow in and out of the vehicle using the Vehicle Signal Specification where possible and appropriate.
Responsibilities
The Interface Definition Pillar shall:
host discussions on API(VSC)definition with strong link to the VSS concept
explore deployment specific mapping
encourage realization of interface definition with existing tooling
ensure alignment to COVESA VSC Project
