Meeting welcome and new year check-in.
Progress Updates
Georg - shared updates from recent working sessions, including early experimentation with AI agents and use of a “playground” environment to explore workflow setup.
Yansong: Provided an update on continued use-case collection with working group members.
Agents and MCP Disussion (Stephen) - Introduced the concept of an AI playground, leveraging GitHub Copilot and creating a CI/production workflow in GitHub. Next step is to continue working through the GitHub playground environment in the next few weeks and report out progress and findings at the next working group meeting on February 23rd.
GH repository - Paul confirmed that the GitHub repository has been set up to support ongoing working sessions.
Future Meeting Cadence - discussed and agreed on the following cadence
Weekly working sessions time: 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 4:00 PM CET

Open Discussions & Technical Topics -
Execution challenges and potential solutions, such as Renote (from Morteza).
Proposal to define a clear list of implementation design requirements for the repository and the emulation environment.

GitHub - enthali/esp32-distance: Demo Project: Using an ultrasonic sensor to measure distance and an LED strip to display the measured distance.
MCP Architecture & Governance
MCP server architecture - concept architecture discussion, how MCP servers could be set up and used within the working group
MCP governance & IT security consideration- internal MCP and external MCP instances, authentication criteria and access control.
Example shared: Microsoft developer tenants (budget backed), internal IT tenant set up, and local MCP environment.
Need to shared industry best practices for security, censorship, and governance.
